Indian Association of Bern (IAB) founded in 1972 provides a platform to the Indian community in Bern to organize events, gather on festive and other occasions. It currently has over 120 members living in and around Bern.
The IAB is active throughout the year beginning with the Republic Day Celebration in January, Holi in March, Picnic in June, Independence Day celebrations in August, a special event in September, Diwali celebrations in November and Childrens program in December. IAB endeavours to promote Indian culture either independently or jointly with other organisations by inviting artists from India to perform on various occasions.
